It’s supposed to get cold next week, so our beautiful dahlias will slowly but surely be coming to an end. Dahlia Autumn is coming to an end.
After the first frost, our treasures are carefully taken out of the earth. The tubers are cleaned with great care and then placed in wooden boxes, carefully wrapped in newspaper. This allows them to recover frost-free in the basement throughout the winter. You really can’t tell what beauties they produce.
Take the opportunity to bring these special seasonal flowers home or give them away as a gift. They can also be ordered online in a flower bag in our webshop.
In April, they’ll go back out into the field. But for now, we’ll wait and see; as long as there hasn’t been any morning frost on the field, the harvest will continue. Although the Christmas tree baubles are already champing at the bit, they’ll have to wait until Dahlia Autumn is over.
